Just wanted to quickly add that this chat is for all those serious about making the caravan trip. It is designed to customize the caravan to those who are at least 90% sure they are participating.

If you are interested in the caravan, but it is still a big "if", it would be considerate if suggestions / requests on specific caravan items be held back. Travel advice / tips are always welcome from pros :)

Information about the chat will be posted afterwards, as well as concrete caravan planning info for the unsure to make a decision at any time as to whether or not they want to hop in on the action.

When does this particular caravan plan to arrive and leave? It looks like we'll be driving out, but we're planning to get in on Tuesday. Maybe we can join y'all for the trip back, at least.

Also, what time will the chat be held?

Hahah I didn't even notice the time thing..

Actually... I was hoping to be there by Tuesday too, so hopefully the rest of the caravan is set for some time in Vhttp://lostboxen.net/possible_routes.jpgegas.

Through AAA and Microsoft Mappoint I came up with a few possible routes (http://caravan.lostboxen.net/possible_routes.jpg).

If the Texas folk want to meet up , that would be a clear reason to take certain routes over others... Although this is all a little early, discussion and cookies to follow in the above-posted chat.

Well... now that HW has put the time up, that leaves me out because of school, but I'll try to get the boy to sit in on it (hopefully he'll peek in on this thread). We were thinking about taking off after his "work hours" Monday evening, and just driving straight through (I don't go to sleep until 6 or 7 am anyway, so he would wake up and take over then), but if we could catch up with some others planning to arrive not-too-very-late Tues., we could alter those plans.

Until 10 pm central, technically, but he usually lets us out early... like around 8 or 9.

Your school doesn't observe President's Day?

No... we had MLK day off, but not President's Day. Figure that one out.

Yea, it's just the beginning. Wait until we have to work on December 25th but we get Muhammad's birthday off.
