I'm flyin in from FL, no set date yet but probably the day before the con starts. Last year I went with someone over 21 to check us all in but this year I don't have anyone and I'm heading up there alone. I'm 18, no way to check in...otherwise I could have done this completely on my own.
Anyway, I basicly only need someone to room with and I'd like to split the cost down the middle if it's just us two. I'm looking for as fair as possible and I don't care how many people are in the room as long as I got a place to sleep (bathroom doesn't count ;p). Let me know if you can help me out at all, thanks.
(I only want to stay at Alexis ;p Fuck cabs and taxi's)

Though you may not be interested, there are a number of places within easy walking distance of AP, should you not be able to find a room there. Last time my group stayed at the Embassy. On the map it looks farish away, but in reality it was a short walk, and I had no problem making it back there, even when I was crashing hard. Also, St. Tropez is closer to the main part of the AP than some of the rooms in the back of AP are.

mfreeck, since I'm only 18 I have a problem finding a place that I'm able to check into. Most places I know of I have to be 21. Any of the places you mentioned...how old must I be?

I don't know, but I thought 21 was for hotels with casinos, and you only had to be 18 for a regular hotel? I'm sure someone will correct me, but that makes sense to me.

I'm almost positive that was one of the perks of the AP... you only had to be 18 to get a room. I could be wrong... I haven't been 18 in a while. :p

Oh well, I only like guys. So you will have to find somewhere else to stay.
Anyway, yes, AP is one of the few places that allows 18 year olds to check in since they don't have an inhouse casino.

Sweet, ok here's the standing...
Alexis makes exceptions for Defcon attendee's. On reservations for Defcon they only need to be 18. I 'didn't ask so' they 'didn't know'. Eh well. Now for the 31st of July I have reserved and it has two beds. Now I just gotta decide on either 31,1,2,3 or 31,1,2. I forget last year how long everyone stayed. Opinions?

Dude, stay the extra day. You'll be way to wrecked to travel on the Sunday. Last year I was way to wrecked to travel on the Monday, but it didn't stop me. Mind you, last year, the Sunday o' Defcon was my birthday....

Damn straight... I had to kill all thoughts of doing anything fun Sunday night because I had to force myself up early morning, so as not to miss my flight home.. definately fixed that for this year.

The funky thing for me is that my friends and I will go whatever the case (one of them would be willing to hitch hike till there :rolleyes: ) but I am in need of a computer every day, and that means I needz a room. What ticks me off thou is that I would be 17 1/2 years old, and Im the "senior" member. Ne suggestions how to obtain a room? :confused: I can arrange some split or something cause hell Im staying there whatever the case.

Nooo, were all straight..... And also in the last couple of day a pal and I were left, but he says that he will sleep in the hall. (st00pid) So Im looking for a room, dont care about other sex, but would not like to sleep with some unknown gay guy. (Sorry if you feel that this is offensive... its just me)

I probably wouldn't share a room with highwizard. Not that I am discriminating, I just think it would be strange. I hope hw finds someone to share a room with though.

New News: Allright, NM all. I will travel back to Hungary when Def Con is happening. (MMOOMM!!!!!!!! d00d! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT I WILL GO TO CAMP AT THE EXACT TIME blah blah blah) soo yeh. FOOK well... One Year goes by PRETTY quick... hopefully i will live.... at least I will have monay for a :cool:AIW Radeon 9700 Pro:cool: (BOOYAA)
