There is now a Netstumbler mailing list. This list is intended for news and general discussion of NetStumbler, but not for FAQs or general wireless discussion.

To join, send mail to netstumbler-subscribe@c2security.org. Many thanks to the folks at www.michiganwireless.org for hosting the list.

Yeah very cool indeed, I got a pm from sh00t3r talking about his latest project... about time NS had a mailing list for the more advanced... I just hope it doesn't get infested with newbies. :D

The only problem with that is it's not sh00t3r's project. It's on my server and I was the one that talked with marius about it.

d'oh... i must have read the pm incorrectly... :( ... regardless it was severely needed, great idea audit! - after an x amount of people sign up, I would suggest sending out a ping... :) hmm... I have been working on enough projects to keep me of IRC. if it is urgent feel free to email me blackwave@netstumbler.com :)

We have over 600 ppl on the list as of 2 minutes ago when I checked the stats last.

That is a nice population velocity for a mailing list. Are you also archiving the list on the web somewhere?

marius asked me about that also but we thought that maybe someone on the list might do that since I've never really archived a list before and have no idea where to start to do it. yea I know that's what google is for. :)

In the next couple weeks the box is getting swaped out to something faster anyhow and when I get done with the new OS install on the new hardware, I might start looking into it, but for now I don't think we're going to archive it yet.

if and when an archive is set up, it would be great if there could be a special allocation for a hall of shame :) Those always make good reads :D

hell, we'll do a hall of shame on michiganwireless.org - maybe simular to attrition's postal or errata section if there is enough people that want to see it.
