I would like to start a kind of mini-defcon that is local to Long Island. Why? Because many of the people here who want to go cannot because of price and distance. If there were a small one, even if in some ridiculous cheap place, it would make quite a few of us here happy. We would not need high-profile speakers, but any kind of place to meet and mingle would be great.
