    Sony PSP

I could've sworn there was another topic on this. Anyway, is it possible to use a cheap wireless protocol to get a PSP online, and is it possible to use the networking thing and connect though a wired connection?

    Thanks in advance.

Use of the forums Search using PSP in thread titles offers you another recent thread and a search of PSP anywhere in a thread provide more hits. These could have helped you to search for another topic instead of typing out:

It would be good to define cheap too.

    [Added content:]
Use of google revealed the following links:
"Both devices are targeted at incorporating many of the features and functionality of the various wired and wireless Internet-centric consumer devices"
"Nor does it include the USB cable you'll otherwise need to connect a PSP to a PC." Which means there is capability for the possibility of Internet access, but does not mean it will be added.
PSP FAQ IrDA is another interface through which they could add Internet Access if they desire-- all they need is software. See FAQ #17 "Can the PSP access the internet?"

I just wish the PSP could stream video over wireless... seems like a pretty basic feature they neglected to implement

Why couldn't it happen? I mean the PSP can do video and it has wireless, I don't see anything stopping it, somebody could eventually figure out a way to do it probably.

The software is currently the limitation, and it's certainly limited in a number of other ways, such as an inability to change desktop wallpaper. Considering all code it runs is AES encrypted, I doubt you'll see "hacks" allowing you to do this that don't require compromising the entire device and running a custom shell/OS.
