I know...sorry I'm a Windoze junky so I have to play quite a bit over in Bill's "security" tools. What other windoze tools do people find helpful?

Here are some that I use:

Foundstone - Free Tools:
http://www.foundstone.com/knowledge/free_tools.html

GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner:
http://www.gfi.com/downloads/downloads.asp?pid=8&lid=1

http://www.insecure.org/nmap/nmap_download.html

In particular the superscan is a nice tool to test connections. Now that Steve's grc.com isn't testing the basic port 80.... I honestly don't find it as useful anymore

[BTW - Am running Linux under VMware... does that count?
:)

Here are a few other links:

http://scan.sygatetech.com/

useful tests: Stealth Scan, Trojan Scan, TCP Scan, UDP Scan, ICMP

useful tests: Port Scan

http://www.dslreports.com/scan

useful tests: 'online security analysis'

http://www.anti-trojan.net/at.asp?l=en&t=onlinecheck

useful tests: Trojan Scan

useful tests: Port Scan, Trojan Scan

I hope you spoof your IP too, and don't have e-mail configured anywhere in your browswer, and your cookies are turned off right? There is more than one way to get your pesonal info other than asking you for it!
