I left Thorn standing around Skybox 206, waiting for something to happen....but I guess everyone was still at the delayed tracks. Jetlag was catching up so rather than falling unconcious on the corridor and getting pwned, I've gone back to the hotel.

Will mostly everyone that go to the forum meet also go to the DCG meet?

Cheers,

Mother

There was some confusion. I'm not sure who had the key (wasn't me) but the box wasn't opened up until after the original start time. I was in and out before going to the last few talks of the evening.

Definitely just a glitch because this was the first year at the riv / firemarshal delay.

Yeah, I was about 20 minutes late getting there and heard folks had to SE their way into the room. The locking of the skybox was also a repeat offender for those showing up to the DCG Meet on Saturday. On the bright side, the firemarshall issue cleared the Forum Meet from competing with Hacker Jeopardy and TCPIP Drinking, on the downside it put the meet in competition with some good talks (one that I wish I had caught, by a certain Jay Beale). Extending the Forum Meet to follow talks was downed by the admins because the skyboxen were completely seperate of the firemarshall issue; quite honostly, pushing the Forum Meet back any later would have had it competing entirely with the Hackerpimps party next door .. I know which room I would have been in...

When I got there the group ranged around 9 in size, expanded to about 15. I had to step out for something, came back and the group had dropped to about 7. I walked out onto the balcony, came back in and Chris had brought an entourage and the meet had well over 20 folks. I'm not certain that any of the sub-events actually hit off, but I could be wrong and please correct if so. Most folks started hopping over to the Hackerpimps party next door well before the allotted 11pm.

It was still a good time. Any recommendations or desired changes can be enacted for next years meet as desired. Post your thoughts.

I missed it because of the whole time delay in the vendor room...spending nearly 11 hours in the vendor room can only be so much fun...I had to go eat! *sigh*

I was running to get there a little after 9, but I was told no one was there and people were already showing up for my party so I nevr made it there.

I apologize for not making it. I had every intention to do so but one of the most important presentations to me was held at the same time.
