Hey, what were your favorite presentations, parties, contests, event, "whatever" at Defcon 14? What did you think could have been better?

Mine:
The last half of Dan Kaminiski's presentation,
The Toxic BBQ 3,
Watching two of the teams compete in Lost's Mystery Box competition,
Sushicon,
The organization, preperation, planning, presentation and participation at the ,aCTF,
Hanging out with many people and meeting a few new people,
HackerPimps Party, and the invitation to attend,
LP Village

What I didn't like so much:
The impact of presentations starting 2 hours late on the first day (the waiting 2 hours wasn't bad, but the problems created with this on other non-presentation events was not much fun.)
Having to go back home on Saturday night.
Sore feet (due to having such a large space, and me having crappy shoes.)

How about you? What did you like? What did you not like so much?

thumbs up:
LP Village (not being self-congratulatory, i just want to raise glasses in honor of all the non-official people who helped make it happen... without the public just sitting down and getting involved Toool and LSI would have been stretched really thin)

Eric Schmiedl's talk on safe cracking

Lost Box Competition

Church of WiFi talk (didn't make it there but watched the video)

Plausible Deniability with weasel and nomad (heh... photo's of Bruce's crotch)

Top of the Riv, specifically the Minibosses set

and, for one little bit of self-praise... Beverage Cooling Contraption Competition

thumbs down:
in truth, my main dissapointment was strictly time. most of us were either in the LP village or running/participating in contests and didn't get to more than a handful of talks. i've got a list as long as my, erm, leg of the talks i can't wait to watch when i get home from work these next couple of weeks.

another thumbs down for me (while not really an event, however) was dealing with the riviera in general. the hotel iteself may offer logistical and luxury related benefits over the alexis park... but the staff, rules, policies, and aftermath makes me almost wish we weren't going to be back there next year. (at least not without some major changes)

my short list in that regard...

pool access sucked
no DefCon TV
being carded everywhere i went at night
many of our friends now seem banned from defcon

Pimps up:

Toxic BBQ (the shirt was a hit at the American Royal BBQ a couple weeks ago)
Black Ops (and the funniest spot-the-fed I've seen
The Mac Block of Talks (too bad it was at the same time as meet the fed)
Hackerpimps party
The goons had things moving like a well oiled machine...if only other events I were involved with were so well run...

Hoez Down:
Poor pool access
no DCTV
no lounging near CTF (though I know that can't be changed)
Confusion on the first day

My favorite DEFCON moment was during Hacker Jeopardy when "pwned" suddenly flashed on the screen.

Hate to ruin it for you, but that was a built-in error message for if
(when) Winn hit the wrong key.

Best parts:
ToxicBBQ
Sushicon
Jackalope spinning
Minibosses
Abby and Icetre's party
Hackerpimps party
Ninja party (hmm... I see a pattern going on.. )
Being a goon on Noid's staff
Having folks be understanding when some things did not pan out. THAT is what makes the con great.
Dinner at the Alladan

Bad parts:
Cops making us card people *
Vegas Metro hasseling *
Having to clear out the Black and White Ball *
* (all the above was stuff that we had no control of.. but it was still a bummer. )
Missing the goon swim (tried to nap.. that did not work either)
