Hey there,
I'm not 100% sure on how the TBBQ is doing for money to provide us with food and other things, but I wanted to post that there IS a donations page up via paypal for them. There is no minimun donation!

I recommend adding 30 cents and 3%. Give $1 and the BBQ will only see 67 cents.

My plan this year is the same as in the past: pay people going on the food run, go on the food run, and/or bring a bunch of stuff to share. Is there a good reason why I should use the Paypal link? Is it there only for people that plan on showing late and don't know whom to pay?

Well I for one used the PayPal link but also planning on going by a store on the way there to pick up some of my favorite beverage and maybe some sausages.
The PayPal link was a good and easy way to contribute to the cause and try to make sure there is enough leftovers to take back to the Goons that can't make it.

ya..the paypal link is mostly for folks that feel compelled to contribute but can't really make the food run, or whatnot. It will be a collaborative melting pot to cover misc needs of the BBQ .. like enough yellow mustard to make noid bleed yellow. ..in some seriousness, its partially our attempt to avoid that by providing the bbq basics for those around us.
So definitely do the food run, bring your meats and your drinks and your cheeses and whatnot (hopefully with more coolers to keep food from spoiling!). The paypal thing is just another avenue. atm we have a running total of 6 or 7 paypal contributions, some of which wish to remain anon and the remainder of which have not specified.

The paypal mechanism was convenient and made it easy to give a little support.
Unfortunately for me, I will not be able to make it this year after all; too many life vectors collided and forced me to cancel my reservations this morning :( :( :(
I wish you guys an excellent time~ wish I could join ya.
