The Skyboxes could use better advertising.
What do you mean Advertising?
If you mean to let people know they exist, I don't think that's an issue since I get a ridiculous amount of requests for them every year. If you mean advertising by the groups that get a Skybox, well, once a Skybox is assigned that's up to the group who received one.
The assignments will go on the site and be in the program I'm sure. There's also no better advertising then a big banner hanging off the railing of the Skybox overlooking the contest/ctf area.

Two major skybox adverising that seemed to help many people with them from last year:
* The program for defcon15 (http://www.defcon.org/images/defcon-15/dc15_program.pdf) included skyboxes in map-form on page 37, and events in the skyboxes referenced their location as a skybox with time and text.
* Every day people passed from the Riviera hotel to the Riviera convention space, they passed a sign directing them to skybox spaces up the stairs.
If people found something they wanted to see in the program (WiFi village, LP Village, QueerCon, etc) , and it was in a skybox, the program had more than enough to get people directed to the skyboxes. The LP Village was often packed, too.
What better advertising would you suggest? (Specifics are good. :-)
I would like to have seen more of this skybox matrix/table near top (http://www.defcon.org/html/defcon-15/dc-15-schedule.html) in the program, but someone else does the program.

Just curious, do we know the approximate dimensions or square footage of the skyboxen, or contest area?
