    Win Proxy Server.

    Hey all. I'm looking to stick a proxy server on my work box so I can hook up another box at work for some file storage, but I can't plug it directly into the network. So, what I was going to do is install a proxy, throw in another NIC and throw my 4 port hub in there so I can run another box AND my laptop. But, I have no clue what a decent Windows based proxy is.

    Anyone feel like helping me out?

      Which flavor of Windows?

      Proxy (discon - but can still be used if you like old software)

          Oops, I guess I should've mentioned that.. Win 98 is what they have everyone running here at work. They're morons when it comes to anything to do with computers. I just sit and smile at them a lot.

          Oh, thanks for the links too, I'll check them out. That discontinued one looks like it'll be the most promising on 98 I think..

              I've actually enjoyed Proxy+ for win boxes:

              Pretty slick, although not sure how many sploits may be lurking... never cared for how I used it
              if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

                  Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Exploits shouldn't matter as I am staying behind the firewall still, as long as I trust the conifguration that the tech guys did here on the firwall.. Well, maybe exploits are a concern ;)
