  • the 312 crew party - saturday night

When opportunity to throw a kickass party presents itself (https://twitter.com/#!/lmcomie/status/92773276153151488), why would the 312 crew pass this up? tl;dr: we wouldn't.

    So What's the details?

We'll be throwing a shindig Saturday Night on the DEF CON conference floor in Miranda 1. Doors open at 22:00, and the bar will be available from 22:00 to 02:00. After that, we'll slowly wind down and GTFO. There's be music from Zack Fasel and Josh Delacroix and drinks plentiful. There may be some other surprises along the way, but 2 weeks out is a bit last minute to say things for sure till they actually happen at the party.

So How do I get in?

The space is only so large and can't fit everybody. We would let everyone if we could, but the room isn't a tardis. Even then, we'd fill the tardis to the walls.

In order to make sure we don't breakdown into chaos, we'll be letting people in the following order.

    1) the 312 EXPRESS line - this line is for CONFIRMED invites generated from RSVPing at dc312.org/dc19. Priority for these invites are given for DC312 members and past attendees of THOTCON (after all, we look out for fellow 312ers). We only have so many we can give out till it becomes just another long line. It does not mean instant or guaranteed entry (we'll be doing our best though), but it does mean you're at the top of our list to get in and will be first to get in when we do fill up. Fill out the form there and we'll give out invites till we can't give any more out.

    2) the regular line - No Invite? No problem. We can only release so many and we want to let you in and let you to get to know the 312 crew. There may be a wait though, especially if we're full or close to it. No saying how long as it depends how much people come and go. Yea, it sucks, but welcome to supply and demand, and we dont want to control the demand curve with some kind of cover charge, because that would be lame. The earlier you get in line, the better your chances. We'll probably open up the line at 21:30 as we'll be there setting up.

    I have a question

Good for you :). Check out the faq at http://dc312.org/dc19/faq. If you still have a question after reading the site, post in this forum or email us at the address in the FAQ.

I think you typo'd that priority listing.
    0) Goons
    1) 312....
    2) Everyone else

Re: the 312 crew party - saturday night

heh, i thought that went without having to spell out ;) You guys fall as priority #0, not #1 (aka no line, no wait, no questions.). Real hackers start counting from 0 anyways.

      from the website:

If you're female or a DC goon, you already know the unspoken DEF CON party rules. See you at the 312 EXPRESS line.
