I know this is an old post, but I searched the forum and didn't see any other more recent occurrence of Virus Developements and Concerns.

I downloaded the DEFCON1 via iTunes (yeah I know, crappy iTunes), and it has the audio for the "Mark Ludwig - Virus Developements and Concerns" is the "Ray Kaplan - To Hack or Not to Hack, That Is Not The Question". It looks like it got saved twice, but the title and description are different. Is this just my iPod or is anyone else getting this?

This isn't really a problem with your post, because it is the most recent post most closely associated with this topic, and because you have provided something of value to the people that maintain the content. This also makes the issue pubic so anyone else seeing it doesn't double-report it, and others with similar problems might report them here too.

I see a 404 for DEFCON 1 Hacking Conference Presentation By RayKaplan - To Hack or Not to Hack - Audio.m4b as taken from this thread.

same, but from web site works.
There is at least one difference between these url represented through an an extra %20 between the working and not working URL. (Look between Ray and Kaplan for the %20 repeated twice in the working copy of the URL from the web page, not this thread.)

Downloading the working URL from Ray Kaplan and Mark Ludwig results in two distinct files:

      Code:
20531930 2010-01-11 05:31 DEFCON 1 Hacking Conference Presentation By Mark Ludwig - Virus Development and Concerns - Audio.m4b
20531944 2010-01-11 05:29 DEFCON 1 Hacking Conference Presentation By Ray Kaplan - To Hack or Not to Hack - Audio.m4b
and of course, with different lengths, but close, they would be expected to have different md5 sum:
      Code:
2477ae5f8d7eb291ec96acbf44281d92 DEFCON 1 Hacking Conference Presentation By Mark Ludwig - Virus Development and Concerns - Audio.m4b
70304246a5f393afafc92801e8017761 DEFCON 1 Hacking Conference Presentation By Ray Kaplan - To Hack or Not to Hack - Audio.m4b
Listening to the two files, they sound like the same talk has been encoded in two different files.

      This problem has been verified.

Thanks for reporting this problem. Jeff, Nikita, or Neil will probably be the people to resolve this.
