Re: Internet in China - Any experiences?
Apparently and according to CNN Internet Addiction is a real problem over in Korea and China. There are actually clinics and 12 Step Programs. I find the notion silly myself, though I must admit staying up for days and not eating playing video games. The internet is an agoraphobics paradise.
So the question is if Internet Addition is a big problem over in China and they have a lot of censorship, what are they looking at that is so additive, and why aren't they sharing? :-) Don't Bogart that content my friend :-)

Re: Internet in China - Any experiences?
I must agree.
If you can, use tor. It may be slow as hell, but it’s better then the alternative.
If you can’t stay away from anything that the Chinese government would consider dangerous.

Yeah, I'd be careful about browsing anything political/dangerous. They capture everything, and filter a lot of stuff.
I don't trust anything there...

Re: Internet in China - Any experiences?
Last time I was in Shanghai was 2005 and I was able to get to the BBC, CNN, etc. from my laptop in my hotel. I didn't try getting to this site or other hacking sites.
We had a great time in Shanghai - enjoy!
