People who apply to such positions are people you don't want to ever hire :P

The thing about this *ideal* candidate is... if there was someone with that skill set and level of experience, surely they would already be working within a seriously money-making position for a really big corporation.

Why on earth would they consider risking that comfortable employment to move to a risky, expanding, never-heard-of company?

That could well be what they aren't saying. I imagine a job like that could very easily turn into an 18x7 operation-- for you!

Re: Do People Like This Really Exist

If a person is laid off from a company they may put an ad in the paper with THEIR OWN qualifications, then when they get resumes they have leads on where to go to look for work.

As for this person, what if a person says "Darn, I have it all except I use Firefox not IE!"

ALL employers want the same thing: a 25-year old MCSE/CCNA with 20 years experience on Windows Server 2008 who will work for minimum wage. So there.

Not one mention of security either. Do they like give you a little room attached to the plant to live in that your family can visit you from time to time. Automation aside just the proper documenting, e-mail, and keeping everyone on the same page sounds like a full time position let alone all the other stuff. Typically administration and full blow development have been 2 different areas. They seem to blur more with Unix than they do with Windows at least in my experience.

If they had the best automation in the world, you would be fine until something went wrong than in less that an hour you would be a year behind. :-)

Oh and by the way we are going to formally quiz you to.

I doubt they are going to pay 6 - 6.5 figures for this job. As Astcell said, they want all this for minimum wage.

Just when I was getting annoyed at how a lot of employers always want people who spent a lifetime at an university and a previous job.

"* Can wear multiple hats and play multiple roles" Rofl-worthy.
