I wonder how many potential Defcon Attendee's will be forced to choose between the two conventions...

We should do some creative social engineering. convince most of the dorks, er, trekies, that the phattest Star Trek party in all of Las Vegas is going on at the Alexis Park. Then when they show up, we take their wallets and give 'em wedgies..

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

Thats the best idea I've heard since sliced bread (damn thats a terrible cliche)...

But you know those Trekkies, they'll try to attack us with their little plastic phaser things and we'll just let priest take out a whole crowd of them. Then we'll let all the security goons clean up the mess, and throw them all in the pool, and their little fake intercom things will be ruined...
*Remembers the first star trek film where they were all wearing spandex*
*Remembers my old history teacher from eons who was a trekkie...*

Go to the Anaheim Hilton on July 20th and the rumors can start there...whisper "Alexis Park, Alexis Park...." and get them all rialed up.

                    Then when their convention starts:

                    http://www.startrekexp.com/welcome/index.html

Well, we'll think of some fun to have with them. Hopefully they will have FRS radios too, that can prove mightly interesting.

Now I think I know why all the minors want to go to Vegas!

Lets see if we can convince them that we used a powerbook to upload a virus into the Star Trek:The Experience computers that will cause it to lose power sometime during the convention.

perhaps that should be a new activity added on, along w/ the whole capture the flag and the like
although, seeing as how it could give the con a bad name and all, it should be a non-con sponsored game ... but a con game nonetheless
                        heh heh heh...

See? I like Star Trek.... but I can see a way to turn this in our favor. DefCon can just be the Borg. hahaha

Yeah...my problem is that I don't want to screw with the trekkies....cuz I like Star Trek, and generally like Trekkies too.

And lets face facts, Deep down inside, everybody knows that Star Trek IS cool.
                            perl -e 'print pack(c5, (41*2), sqrt(7056), (unpack(c,H)-2), oct(115), 10)'

                              the difference

Do you know the difference between Star Trek and the con?

In Star Trek the head nerd gets the girl. (Vulcans excepted)

Of course I imagine the convention differs from the show in that regard!
