I'm at walmart looking to the 30 dollar kiddie pool and wondering, how much milk would I have to buy to fill this with pudding?
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

    Jello is cheaper.

Did it say how many gallons the pool holds?

I love the fact that noone has asked the obvious question:

        Chocolate or vanilla pudding?

On a more serious note, does the pudding/Jell(y/o) need to be edible or just wrestleable?

            Con:

            Assuming you are looking at:
            http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=9729616
            (walmart 29.96 "kiddie pool")
            which states: Product in Inches (L x W x H): 12.75 x 24.75 x 17.25

            This is 5443 cubic inches:

            Convert to gallons:

            Edit:
Forgot to tell you to use google. and you almost made me break 20 posts!

            23.5 gallons of milk.

Funny, I thought the obvious question was "Is photography allowed?"

You neglected to take it to the next step.

According to the national average for a gallon of milk, $3.72, it would cost $87.42 in milk.

Of course, if he'd get it from a local dairy that doesn't have to sell based upon the national average and can set their own prices then it would be $3.00/gallon.

hmm interesting start, but i'm not certain that filling the pool with milk would be as interesting as pudding or blueberry muffin mix .. Would it?

Don't you need milk to make pudding?

Blueberry muffin mix is gonna take eggs, wrestling in raw eggs probably wouldn't be fun.

Hmm.. I suppose an excess of milk would not hurt, but let's say theres a budget. Would the pool be completely filled, or partially?

Muffins don't require eggs but taste better when baked with them.. I have no intention of baking them.

What would be more cost effective, pudding or muffins mix?

Well it really depends upon what your ultimate goal is.

but there's always room for Jello.

If you have a Sam's or Costco membership the muffin mix might be the better choice, however pre-made pudding always works too.

Converge, what do you what to do with a said kiddie pool and food filling anyways?

I hesitate to reply to this mildly digusting (to me) thread, but simply cannot resist. Muffins contain flour, and will take a far larger amount of milk or other liquid to remain "interesting". In addition, there is a very high likelihood of skin irritation or risk to vision due to the multiple ingredients (not to mention that flour is irritating all on its own).

If your intent is just to use this for the amusement of various and sundry denizens of the party life, there's no reason to even use milk with the pudding. Just use water. You're not going to eat it. If you wanted it to have a more familiar consistency, use powdered milk and water.

If you decide to try jello (for whatever reason), then for each package of jello, you need one extra package of unflavored gelatine, and access to ice. This will cause it to partly set up as though you'd refrigerated it for half the allotted time, and will also be nearly as disgusting as the pudding. For serious effect, try equal parts red and green (makes a nice brown color).

Nothing like helping out at nursery school to give you lots of experience in disgusting. Please don't use the muffin mix idea.

If you're going to use Jello, add some vodka so you have a nice big jello shooter.
