Re: Hacker Karaoke
Hacker Karaoke will have Capri Room 113 for Friday.. Please use the space wisely keep it a fun relaxed chilled out making a fool of yourself good time room :-) You have a space now, it's really the only and best one I could find. Now give me a write up so I can advertise the hell out of it.

Re: Hacker Karaoke
Bascule: I *have* posted silly goose. Now then for the seriousness ( I will try to be serious) with all of the support for karaoke at this event as well as some other off events which people here have paricipated. I am looking for space primarily, and will be reaching out to a few folks who have supported, DefCon, myself and/or ghettogeeks.com in the past. You know who you are. be afraid, *very* afraid. I am looking at this being the FIRST on site Official DefCon karaoke event, and based on particpation may be done in years to come. so put on your party hats, drink cups/glasses, and vocal chords of golden +10 and rawk the house with us. More details will come as I get approvals from people.

In my traditional style, I am trying to help out in a purely technical capacity as he handles the organization. Provided this all works out, I will bring a large CD+G library and a computer to play it with, along with a mixer and mics. I can print out a songbook and I'd also like to have the whole song list available online, as well as a listing of the karaoke rotations (which I will display on the projector from time to time). I will also have a vocal eliminator available, so if you have a song memorized and have an MP3 of it you can just give it to me and I will play it through a vocal eliminator for you.
If you have a Skybox you'd be willing to hold karaoke in for part of your assigned Skybox period, that would rule. I think we're set on a sound system, and hopefully set on projectors and monitors.

For those that are interested, the normal order is SushiCon, then chill out at the Peppermill, followed by some good, but mostly bad, karaoke. It shouldn't be hard to track us down.

We (Vegas 2.0) have been doing sort of karaoke-con for the past two cons. A whole bunch of us just roll out to Korean Karaoke Super Place (Karaoke 5 I think) across from UNLV. Its a lemon soju fueled adventure. This is how I ended up the first year. It ha always been a blast.
