There is a similar Defcon event in this country, but I guess the presentation is not as good as the Defcon does.

    Similar Event

There is a similar hacking convention happening here on this country but I guess it's not as good as the defcon.

Hackacon takes place in the Phillipines, not in the US. Unless I missed something in Geography class...

Did the Phillipines become a new State of the Union just like Puerto Rico?

Who says "here" (from the original poster at the top of this thread) isn't the Philippines?

Confusion exists only in how, "here," is understood to mean the location near that of the original poster. I will tell you that the post at the top did not come from a US netblock.

Could just be a typo. I do it all the time. "on" instead of "in"... The letters i and o are next to each other on the keyboard. Nevertheless, it should be "here in this country" or "here on this continent".

Puerto Rico isn't a state, neither is Guam. They are US territories. Otherwise there'd be more that 50 states....
