ah... so your conversations are all super-duper buddy buddy with the Feds, then.
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

Thx for that Dev. I've used Skype since its onset when it was only used in Europe. In fact, I did some beta testing for them. I use it for every day non-secure text, file share, video and am well aware of its privacy issues (it's like sharing a public toilet). What xor posted was about "vishing" and something I've not had a problem with yet using Skype. I use other direct connect scrambled voip for the other non-fed friendly coms. Glad you raised the "insecure" voip issues about Skype.

i'd like to ask what you opt to use there, if i may. other than the Cryptophone project that my buddy Barry's been developing for ages, i hadn't heard of any super-wicked-awesome VoIP clients for secure chat.

I just tend to use IM for sensitive matters since my client supports OTR messaging and basically all of my contacts tend to have that enabled. 4096-bit crypto for the win.

I heard the NSA has just hired Hugh Jackman and a steady stream of blondes to give him blowjobs. So I think your crypto is pretty much fscked.

            :)
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

Actually it's the steady stream of blonds that are breaking the crypto, Hugh Jackman is just there for looks.

I'm guessing you've missed Phil Zimmermann's talks at Defcon for the last few years, no worries, I use Gizmo5 with Zfone. (Yes I am aware of the security vulns in Gizmo and Zfone)

Zfone runs on Windows XP and Vista, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Zfone also runs on Linux and Mac OS X, Zfone has been tested with these VoIP clients: X-Lite, Gizmo (audio, no video yet), XMeeting, Yahoo Messenger's VoIP client (for audio), Magic Jack, and SJphone. It does not work with Skype.
