    Re: Greetings....

How serious do people get for dressing for this?

I'm more of a sports jacket and jeans type of guy... don't even own a suit currently

      Re: Greetings....

Well, here are some photos but they're pretty old...

everything from Jeans & T-Shirts to dressier fare.

some people go the costume route.

renderman and i with some lovely ladies. goddamn, if it weren't for render's mustache we'd look about 15 in that photo. at least the women look to be of age, heh.

things seem to have become a bit more formal in recent years, but rarely will there be a "you are denied entry for what you're wearing" rule enforced super hard in my experience. often they just frown on people waltzing in with the exact same thing they were wearing for 10 hours of con earlier that day.
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

        You're gonna need an adapter

Patchboard is a great idea... I am all about getting the audio out in real-time and through as many different media as possible. For both the B&W Balls and the daytime stuff...

All transmitting and/or recording devices (analog or digital) are strongly encouraged...

Anyone who wouldn't mind bringing, or would enjoy building, an apparatus that will split a simple stereo signal N times...talk to me...

I see a lot of potential in a transmitter and cheap FM headphones in bulk. :)

        Thanks.

either have a bank of sound board feeds that people can patch into if they wish or allow/encourage the performers to record their sets so that we don't have to wait 89 years for the official recordings to be released.

          Hey!

I attended defcon last year and was blown away. It was a blast! The parties were awesome and the people I met were even cooler.

Im interested in playing. Where do I send my demo to?

                Re: Greetings....

The Evolution Control Committee is interested in playing the B&W ball if there is still time. Please let him know right away if this is an option. You can find out more at http://evolution-control.com and contact him through the site if you like- this is his ideal audience. He's also been a panelist at HOPE in the past, but did not do a full performance.
He's great live and it's much more DJ than band, but there is some interactivity.
                Thanks!

Please email a DJ-mixed / full set demo recording to blackandwhitedjs@gmail.com. I checked out the site, but couldn't get a good feel for the music. Thanks!
