I LOVE your avatar. Yes, HighWiz is correct. They will be recording Thursday events. You can order them from the SOK. They should be at the show taking orders, or you can order them from their website after the show. After a few month, Defcon will have them available online to download via podcast/rss usually around September/October, occasionally a little later than that.

The Pontifical We of "DefCon 101" is pleased to announce the final speakers for DC101. The line up is stellar!

The following individuals have graciously volunteered their time to quickly school us in some of the particular delights of Defcon:

Our fearless leader, The Dark Tangent will share with us The History and Logistics of Defcon

following on and associated with those logistics

Lockheed, the master of that holiest of hacker grails, the Defcon Network, will give us just a taste of his full presentation later on in the day

Noid, the commander of red-shirted legions, the Security Goons, will give us all a clue as to why they are here at Defcon and what they do

Then:

Games and Contests will be thoroughly covered by Russr

Representing the Villages will be:

L0sT, for the Hardware Hacking Village
Deviant Ollam or a member of TOOOL for the Lockpick Village
Thorn and ThePrez98 will electrify you with Wireless Village goodness

Art and Music of Defcon will be presented by the Dopest DJ in the galaxy, yo, the delicious Miss DJ Jackalope

Who better to cover DefCon Parties than that supreme social butterfly, Siviak?

Finally, Mr. Wizard (HighWiz) will throw you a lifeline about Defcon Survival, snark included.

DefCon 101 will take place on Thursday, July 30th, from 1PM-3:30ish at the Riviera Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV. Exact room at the venue is TBD. Bring your inquisitive self and a friend (or not). You don't want to miss a bit of this tasty pre-con goodness.

Having just arrived, smoke covered and still bearing his first responder's pack, Noid, who runs the Goon crew, will share a bit with you about who are the Goons. They are your best friends. I'll be teaching DEFCON 201 at a TBD location. That one gives transferable credit at both private and state run universities.

May I attend? Transferable credits rock. /me scrabbles to find her UT grad guide book...

The Pontifical We of the DC101 is very pleased to announce the addition of a speaker to the DC101 presentation on Thursday.

Yes, Lockheed, the master of that Network of Networks, The Hacker grail, the Defcon network, has agreed to show his face and share with us a bit about his cyber child. This is just a taste of what he will have in store for you at his full presentation of the DefCon network later at the Con. We love to surprise you. :-)

As the mouthpiece for the Pontifical We, I thank you on behalf of the Leader/Organizers, Speakers, Monkey Butlers and Attendees.

I wish to correct a misconception: This would not be taking place without the efforts of all those mentioned above and probably some shadow folks I know nothing about. My efforts have been minimal. Give credit where credit is truly due.

So, we hope you can make it! It will be more fun than...

wait, that was said previously... :-D

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...
