HEY ALL YOU AWESOME QUEER PEOPLE!

Six years ago, we didn't know what was going to happen.

We thought we might get beaten up. We thought we might get made fun of. Worst of all, we thought we might throw a party and nobody would come.

Instead, we booked a DJ, hung up a rainbow flag, and threw one of the best underground dance parties at Defcon. We've done the same every year since then. And we're really looking forward to doing it again this year. The prefunk in the chill area went really well last year, so we'll do that too.

DEFCON, WE LOVE YOU! Thanks for five amazing years... we're really looking forward to our sixth!

I missed this last year and was saddened. I don't even remember why I missed it. Definitely going to rectify that this year.

All we need now is a space. Hopefully Defcon can help us out with that. :)

Making the assumption that Grifter has the Skyboxes again this year, you should probably contact him to request space. Obviously, if it is going to be somewhere else, you will need to talk to the people that are running that space.

In the past he has announced opportunity to request SkyBox space through the forums, but I've not seen him on the forums lately.

yeah, last year we didn't know originally and wound up moving half of the lockpick village over in order to activate that partition.

many, many uber thanks went to Zac for getting us keyed access to the storage closet in our village so we could properly secure the expensive stuff at night with the parties going on.

that last skybox works well for QueerCon since it has its own restroom etc... it's like a private little club all on its own.

We love that space, and we especially love how awesome the Lockpick Village guys were last year in accommodating us. Thanks very much... it'll be another great show! :)

We have a full lineup, but the random DJ we worked into the lineup last year is welcome to contact me if you're coming again this year. You were awesome, so if you're down to play we'll try to work you in again.

We'll be doing the dance event on Friday night, as always... 10pm until late. :)

There will be a prefunk at 4pm in the chill space, also on Friday. It's a nice opportunity to meet and socialize before the party!

Hello all,

I was there last year. Met some nice people. It was fun. The 'chill out' balcony was a really good idea.
Although, I was a little anoyed by the DJ playing rather underground and not really 'gay'.
Since I am a DJ myself and dj-ing in a few discotheques in the Netherlands from which 1 trendy gay club, I pay extra attention to the music when I am visitting other places so my hands where itching last year :-)
Perhaps I can play a few songs this year. I will bring my hard-drive with the 'good stuff'.
