Is anyone here in the Orlando area that would like to participate in this? I wouldn't mind getting this started again, but I want to know if its worth the time. Either post here or get back to me g3k@disillusion.us

Re: Is there interest in this?
I got one person from a Linkedin Orlando group interested. Anyone else or am I wasting my time?"As Arthur C Clarke puts it, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". Here is my corollary: "Any sufficiently technical expert is indistinguishable from a witch"."

Re: Is there interest in this?
Yeah, I saw your post in my Florida area thread. I ended up having to make plans for a shotgun wedding last minute so any flying to dc17 is out of the question ANYWAY -_-
I have a few people interested, but I'm not entirely sure of their interest level or what to even cover. Most of us are novice, including myself."As Arthur C Clarke puts it, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". Re: Is there interest in this?
Well, I'm a novice too but I don't see that as a discouraging factor. If we can rally a few people to do this thing, even if its completely virtual to start, I think we'd be better for it. At least next year if we're doing ride shares it won't be as much of a pain to track down the Central Florida crew.
I can handle web stuff if need be, and snag a few people from the office who might be interested. Would be pretty cool to get a team together for aCTF or something at DC18, even if we suck.

Re: Is there interest in this?
Unfortunately, no. It would be nice to get at least one meeting in before the con though.
Is it down to just picking a venue, date and time? If so, let's try and pin it down.
Edit: Alright, enough of this. DC407.com registered for 5 years. I'll set up Google Apps and get a calendar up there or something. Emailed DCG admins to check on the status of the group and/or apply for POC. Game on.Last edited by abyssknight; January 17, 2010, 22:23.
