I've got all my own food and camping gear, just looking for some new people to hang out with.

Sweet! I'm all kinds of busy today, but I'll try to poke around a bit.

LOL. We'll keep a chase car on standby.

But I do like the idea of a DEFCON Camp.

Looks like I will be speaking on something at Toorcamp. Still waiting to hear from h1kari as to which of my two talks he wants. I'm probably only going to be out there for Thurs-Fri though as I need to be back in Western WA for the 4th of July.

    /me laughs! Yes!

But sometimes you just have to dance under the raindrops. And babywipes don't work so good on the head hair. :-)

I have used baking soda to good effect in getting the ickies out of my hair, but sometimes having a water bath just WORKS!

Believe me when I say I became VERY popular with my team mates. It paid for itself in the first three days. Light, portable in a pack, and it truly works to remove the grime.

I am most likely going to be driving out to Toorcamp from the Tri-Cities area (Richland) this summer. I've got a car with five seats, and there's only one of me, so if anyone is interested in carpooling and splitting gas costs, let me know! I could probably swing by the Tri-Cities airport if you get there at a reasonable hour and remember to shower.

Also, they've put up a few pictures of the silo: http://toorcamp.org/content/more-awe...ictures-divide.

This airport is actually pretty busy with military/Boeing/etc other traffic. Although its been several years, we used to fly in there quite often. Then again, I don't know if there are any other smaller private airports in the area. As far as I know, there are no airlines that service Moses Lake although I could be wrong, so a private charter might be the only viable option.

FYI, the Titan Missile Silo site they picture is ~36 driving miles and almost directly east of the airport. It appears that the silos were only operational from 1959 to 1966, and are repeatedly put up for sale on eBay.
It appears United flies to Grant County International Airport (MWH) and the fare wasn't all that bad from Chicago, while I'm at it, you can rent Hertz rental cars from Columbia Pacific Aviation, they are a full service FBO so at least you can have the company AC-130 all fueled and ready to go.

While you may not be qualified to teach nighttime dead stick landings of an AC-130 while wearing AN/AVS-9's before your talk on DNSSEC at Toorcamp, There is however a Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Moses Lake to maybe help you along, if anything, it sure beats camping!

I'm considering going. It looks like a reasonable amount of fun. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive of the four places I'm planning on heading this summer (considering airfare, rental, tick), so it's the most likely to be cut from the list. Tragic.
