Like a pack of filthy hippies, we tend to do our breakfasts and dinners in a communal manner. Unlike filthy hippies, we make good food. What you can do is bring more than your share when it comes to food. For example, I'll bring sausages and eggs for a dozen people, etc. Lunches can get communal, but with folks off hiking and such (or with goofy diets like mfreeck and I), they aren't always so.

Supply-wise, theres always a need for things like paper towels, plates, etc.

Labor-wise, theres always need for help cooking, cleaning, prepping, etc

If you are planning on coming, I'd recommend joining the DC206 mailing list since there will be a lot of planning talk on there as we get closer.

Also, unlike Toorcamp, this isnt a technology fiesta. It's Field Day that weekend so HAM radios are OK, but if you want to bring 5000 watts of bumpin base to the party or generators and satellite internet, we'll let the buzzards pick your carcass clean.

Seriously though, this campout is a fucking hoot every year. It's my Woodstock.

Oh ya, and seconded on helping out. Dont show up and be a fucking mooch. Contribute in one way or another. Providing chow to 15-20 people can be an ordeal so plenty of help is required.

    DC206 campout June 25-28

This is the fourth year of the DC206 camp out. Although it is a gathering of local hackers and geeks, technical devices powered by a wall socket or car are discouraged. You can hang out in front of your computer at home. Now is the time to start that fire without matches, show your camp cookery skills and generally bullshit with other geeks that speak the same language.

The camp out this year is scheduled for Lewis and Clark State Park near
Chehalis as always. This year we'll be there June 25-28. Check in is
2:30pm. The fee is $2.42 per head per night.

Every year we have a huge variety of tasty food and this year is no exception. We do some meal coordination in regards to breakfast and/or dinner, so chime in ahead of time to see what you can help bring.

**Warning: Folks not bringing something to better the campout for all (food or otherwise) will be made the camp bitch. You will be named Oxfordson and made to perform menial tasks and general humiliation for our entertainment.**

Out of town folks: There is a Safeway nearby that you can pick supplies up from. There are several sporting goods stores in Seattle where you can pick up a tent. Sometimes one can be found at a goodwill. You may be able to pool with other out of towners to share/afford one tent. If you are 100% positive you will attend and would like a used/cheap tent, you can contact me with a budget and I can keep my eyes peeled for a tent in that range.

We always have a few hams at the camp out and this year field day coincides, so feel free to bring your battery powered ham radios.
