backpaks, bags, camel backs etc. Allowable in hotels? or considered "Security" threat

Just curious what people know as fact, or have heard in regards to the hotels now in Las Vegas about people carrying backpacks on them when they enter a hotel, a lobby or basically anywhere on the strip.

Reason I ask is i have one of those camel back hydration things, its just a big bag holding water with a spout coming out that you can sling over your back.

I also have a laptop backpak bag that I would like to carry with me as much as possible, but if im going to be hassled constantly to have it searched, or I have to give it to security 'for safe keeping' untill im doing touring around and collect it later, well then that is gonna suck.

Last year the only place I was searched was going up to the Statosphere tower and they did a crappy job cuz they didnt even blink at my very suspiciously looking pipe bomb 2.4Ghz yaggi wireless directional antenna enclosure :)

I just dont want my "go bag" to be a stumbling block (no pun intended) when i tour around the strip and have to keep running out to the car to lock it up or hand it over to someone for safe keeping :\

Anyone have suggestions? rumours? tips? etc?

Water? What is that? Oh the other clear liquid.. those party bags are fun :) I wouldn't know because I rarely leave the AP once I am there, except for missions and such.. but I dont' gamble, I rather waste my money on swag :) It would be good to know because when I go out I have the similar type of set up, except for using water.. ;)

I think the holtel staff would feel more able to deal with threats that come from unoccupied bags or other bulky items. They're more worried that we'd hack into the ATM.

Hey we should all bring Euros, no US currency at all, that could be interesting!

The thing that really blows about the ATM at the AP is that it doesn't take long digit PINs... when you try to type one of these long babies in, it rolls off the screen and resets back to the enter PIN menu... I have to either walk down the street to that ATM towards the strip, or take a cab to the Wells Fargo a few blocks away... I would drive there, but don't want to lose the parking... :(

LOL, sounds good to me... thought I would suggest wearing a hood or something, you never know where the person that gave you the card, got it from..
