Got it. I just made this thread sticky and will leave it that way for a week or so, till Scammy McGee gets his account shut off for some variety of ToS violation..

The email addresses of people organizing Defcon Groups are published on a web page.
Someone is contacting Defcon Group organizers with unsolicited "hacking" requests.
The requests for "hacking" are suspicious or spam to organizers.
Noid set this discussion as a "sticky" to draw attention to it.
This thread acts as a warning to people that get similar email messages.

I received a PM from someone (not sure it was this same guy, different name) who was from Africa and also claimed to be a fellow hacker. His name actually showed up from several posts on different forums, more or less with the same claims. Trying to find his name now, but its 5:53 AM on Monday morning and I'm not quite awake yet.
