  • The passing of heinous

I realise that many on this forum will not have known Leah Kubik (nee Cunningham, aka heinous), but it is my sad duty to have to report that she died last Thursday following a four-storey fall in the University of Toronto while exploring the building.

Leah and I had known each other for over a decade, and she was one of the few true hacker chicks out there as well as an attendee of the LA2600 meetings in the 1999 timeframe. She had recently returned from Hackers on a Plane 2009 and was well-known by many in that community.

My sincerest sympathies and condolences go out to her family and those who had known her. She will be greatly missed by all.

As do mine. Skroo, thank you for posting. /me hangs her head. I did not know her well, but knew of her Linux mastery.

A light goes out in hackerdom.
