Nice, I'm in to submit something. Do you have a drop dead date to get entries? / Any design / color preferences whatsoever?

I'm going to get with Siviak after my move this month to work out a deadline. Expect a firm date after the first of the year. It will be based on printer deadlines so I need to invest a little research time but right now, all my time is packing.

As for design, just keep in mind the spirit of the Hunt. It isn't just about bringing in things, it's also about creativity, hacking the points, and taking part in Defcon activities. I remember a hand made banner one year that was discs, cd, random junk, pictures of people, etc, all zip tied together. We want one we can reuse each year, so don't put a specific date on it. Vague for now, I know, but you are creative people.

Full color doesn't seem to be an issue for the few places I have already looked at as long as the art is scalable. I hope this helps some.

EDIT: As I seem to be prevented from posting new stuff, I am editing this post to ask those who may have worked on some ideas for a logo for this contest to please contact me. I would like to see what, if any, ideas you have come up with so I can start shopping around the tshirt/banner/patches for it. Thanks!

hhmm.. Sounds like something fun to work on while sitting in telecom class. Can you give us an Average Size constraint, or are we free to go do our graphic voodoo.

Doing some quick research at banner sites, it looks like we would eventually be interested in a 3 foot by 6 foot banner and most sites seem to prefer Vector art so whatever size you choose to work in can be resized as needed. That probably seems obvious but I am IN NO WAY familiar with graphic work myself and had to ask the hubby.

For next year we would like to have a real banner, and custom tshirts. I am putting out a call to any artistic folks out there to come up with some logos for us. "Defcon" can be included but please don't include any specific year art, as we need the banner to be essentially reuseable each year. Please send your entries to scavlist@gmail.com. Winning entry will have full credit on the banner of course. More details as this idea is fleshed out.
