Metasploit sale

I assume this is a bit after-the-fact but I haven't been active on these forums for awhile.

So Metasploit is now managed by Rapid7. I have been asked by an employee/recruiter there if I wish to be Metasploit's "core Ruby ninja" (lulz). I really don't know what to make of this.

What do you all make of this?

I would suspect most people are cautiously optimistic about it, at least I am.
