    You should have accepted and then spoken on something completely outside the realm of what they want to cover.
    A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

        Reply back quickly, say that was your wife in your inbox. Say you will be presenting on the topic of the Sunscreen Security System.

        When you get there, approach the microphone...

            Hey, if you guys all go - I'd go. Florida is close enough to me and I am bored enough that it would be funny to see if we could get enough speakers accepted to sway the direction of the entire con.

            Not that anyone here would be interested in any sort of shenanigans like that. ;)
