Here is the Deal. bluerules does NOT have the penthouse & will NOT have the penthouse. You have been called out on your attention seeking behavior, you have lied, you have inconsiderately caused problems for the people who actually DO have the penthouse.

At this point, I can only assume that causing problems are your main goals in life.

You have annoyed people in real life, you are not funny and thank you for being "THAT" guy. Despite warnings you continue to taunt and boldly lie about the integrity and due diligence of the Rivera security.

The Riv is a respected and professional member of the Las Vegas community, they can not be bribed and they certainly do not take kindly to attempts at subterfuge.

You have caused considerable problems for a legitimate client of the Riv.

You have caused one of my Favorite people at the Riv a headache and to defend our honor when it shouldn't have needed to be defended.

You, in my opinion are a disgrace and an example of how NOT to attend Def Con.

I'm headed to vegas for Memorial Day! I'm staying at the riv, so I'm going to go up to the penthouse level and figure out where all the security cameras are. I also picked up one of those tiny pinhole cameras, so all I have to do is turn my body towards what I want a photo of and I've got a nice covert photo!

When I get back I'll post a floor plan layout and sight lines of all the cameras.

I think we are planning on taking this year off, at least from doing anything formal. But we are planning for the future, so keep your eyes open.

Hay if they close it down, we can always do what has been done before. (for the Riv staff that is go to bed and tuck ourselves in after a very long night of being little angels)

I talked with some of the organizers from years past and they said they kept getting raided because of the noise. So we arranged to have the rooms below the penthouse empty for the night. Fortunately our contact at the Riv is setting it up so we don't have to actually pay cash for them!

I'm one of the organizers, and I have no idea who you are. But I can assure noise isn't the only problem.

Hello everyone, we're all getting excited for Defcon this year and I'd like to get the party planning started! Rumor has it that the people who ran the Penthouse party are not getting the penthouse again.

I know it's true. BECAUSE WE'VE RENTED IT!

That's right, a new group, a new format, and we've got plans on how to avoid the hotel's "helpfulness".

More info to come, we don't want to let too many secrets out yet.

First of all: that group was The Aristocrats. We've had it every year since we've moved to the Riv.

Gloat all you want, because the reason you have that suite is because we've let it go. I was the major planning and financial backing and I've decided to stop for no other reason other than I'm tired of fighting to get *you* drunk. Perhaps I'll do something this year, perhaps not. I personally don't even think I'm going. Seriously.

I wouldn't go as far as to say the site is cursed, but let us say the Riv is less than helpful.

As for talking with us, we're not really aware of who you even are of if and or when we've talked with you. Considering I'm the one that did most of the planning; it sounds like you were talking to a third string player at best. I wouldn't trust what you heard unless you want to go about identifying who it was.

Even if you *were* talking to someone useful, do you really think they can articulate the intricacies of the politics of the Rivera to you over a 10 minute, half drunken, entirely tired, conversation?

I hate to tell you, the problems are NOT just noise. There are so many other issues that I could literally talk for days.

Planning for that party usually started in October before con. Yes that's right, 10 months prior. And we're not talking I made a few phone calls. I generally was working, 2-4 hours a day depending on the tasks and I'm not the only one.

Good luck! I have to agree, you're not getting off to a good start. For instance: you're about to repeat the first mistake we made year one. Trusting the Riv at all. The only reason the party ran year one is cause we caught them totally by surprise, even though we were totally open upfront and honest with them!

Oh and hope you pack your piggy bank, because the BEST you can hope for is a several thousand dollar fine. Personally -- I've been banned from the hotel for life AND had to pay a huge fine.

Methinks you need to lurk more. Sounds like someone's about to get a vicious ass raping. Maybe I will show up just to watch this... :)

There's a reason you most likely don't know who I am:

A. I'm not a credit whore. I don't care who gets blamed as long as everyone has a good time.
B. Silence is golden when it comes to the Riv. The less they know the better shape YOU'RE in.

Anyways good freakin' luck. Just so you know, we've heard the "Yeah we're not booking those rooms" gag before. It's always a good time.
