No, my hair isn't pink anymore, it was too hard a process on my hair, made it into straw :-( although, I might look for something cute to do this year.

As for the marshmallows, don't think that can't happen again. Maybe on Friday night.....in a skybox..

I think that the best people you meet at con are not the ones who are well known or famous. The random people you meet can be some of the coolest cats around and turn into some life long friendships (Deviant, CoWF, I'm looking in your direction).

Spending time to seek out celebrities would be better spent buying a round for the random people at a table and starting a conversation. If you happen to run into a celeb, that's cool, but there's a whole lot more people with alot of cool ideas around as well, don't forget them.

Well put and I'd have to agree. I'm not new to cons, so I know that sometimes the person sitting next to you at a presentation can easily become a really great friend. I have no intention of avoiding interactions with those around me to seek out the "rich and infamous", but there are some people I think would be neat to shake hands with.

But honestly, my priorities are in hanging out with the people that I have made friends with over time and have constantly encouraged me and pushed me forward. I'd say they know who they are, but they probably don't. : >

I show up because all of you are my family and this is the one time a year I get to have everyone together. Sounds gay but I really do feel that way. With that said the coolest person I have ever met (and got to spend a bunch of time with) at Blackhat/Defcon is Robert Morris Sr.

I'll put out an application process if there appears to be an interest to be present in my fluffy little heaven. I'll put my husband on the list, cause I have to contractually. And L0sT can handle marshmallows, so he can be the official stay puff quality control officer... but all others need to byom&c (marshmallow-n-chocolate) to offer me your DEF CON Demi-Goddess.

You've already met me. I don't think you can call do-overs. See... I don't remember meeting skroo at Defcon, which is why I mentioned him. We've discussed stuff on the forums, but I don't recall meeting him in person.

I second this. One of the best times I ever had at defcon was when I met some random people & hacked badges together.

I third this. My first con I hacked locks with people I had just met and my second I hacked hardware with people I had just met. They were just Joes, as am I, but I learned a ton and really made good memories.

Actually, if anything I hope I see all of those people again.

Another thought - don't worry about the bigwigs, but instead join a community. I got into the locksport community and am now really involved, and I am glad for that. there are a lot of groups like that - cast about until you find the group that fits you best.

I'd like to meet Woz. I saw him rolling by several years ago on his Segway but never managed to talk to him. I don't think he goes anymore.

I would've liked to have met Michael J. Anderson when he was at the Riviera one year at Defcon.

I've heard Violet Blue attends Defcon but I've never seen her there.
