Now to the serious bit,

bluerules, please take this as constructive criticism.

Thus far I have personally seen you discus that you have compromised the integrity of the riv staff, mis-speak about the location of your party, "warn" one of the members of the forums who have been around forever, troll a few forums, advise me to flat out bribe the riv staff, the list goes on and on... Then not even today you said you were looking forward to meeting all of us at the forum meet at this coming DefCon. My advise to you from one forum "noob" to another would be to lurk more.... Get to know these people because if you do some of them can be a great resourse of infinite knowledge or in some cases life long friends. Get to know the culture man, enjoy the posts and if you have constructive things to add please do. But for the love of god man... Stop making random and useless posts.

If you must post remember that all of these posts are read by hundreds of lurkers per day... If you don't believe me check out the number of logged in people then look at the number of guests. Notice that there are several people logged in almost 24-7.

Edit: my first post came off as a bit harsh, so here is a more thought out statement.

Some people on here use facebook, I'll admit to that.

Posting on the DC forums allows the RIV to read the posts from the Defcon Community at large. While in the past we haven't carried a whole lot of weight with the staff at the RIV we have had some impacts in my opinion.

Posting on facebook will only give you the weight as a "random" customer. If we stick to posting as a community on the DC forums then they will know what the source is and what the community at large (or relatively speaking what the forum people) want from the RIV during the time of DefCon.

So I will refer to some of my original post by asking you:

Why would we want to post comments, complaints or questions on Facebook, when it doesn't carry the same weight as we would on the DC forums where they already lurk.
