Last minute room share (Fri/Sat)

I just found out that I'm going to be able to make it to defcon after all, but the Riv's all sold out now. Anyone still have space for Friday / Saturday nights? Or possibly just Saturday?

Riv sold out? The DEFCON rate may be sold out but they still have rooms.

Be careful with booking rooms like this online, as many hotels will claim to honor a room reservation for these agents, but when you show up, they send you to an overflow hotel off-site. Read the fine print and verify that the offer really is for the hotel you want and not some other hotel the RIv has an agreement with for overflow guests. You might even want to call the Riviera with your reservation number to confirm that the reservation is for a room physically in the same hotel as Defcon.

If the con wasn't at the Riv I wouldn't stay there for free.. and at $399 a night.. Yeah.. Not gunna happen.

I have had luck in the past calling the reservation desk daily, or consider staying at Circus-Circus.

I just found out that I'm going to be able to make it to defcon after all, but the Riv's all sold out now. Anyone still have space for Friday / Saturday nights? Or possibly just Saturday?

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Would prefer not staying at Circus Circus just to avoid the hassle of the drive / walk, but will see what happens.

It is directly outside of the riv. It is the hotel most people stay at once the riv fills up and they didn't previously attend black hat. The walk is across a 4 or 6 lane road... But that's pretty common in Vegas really. He'll I probably cross it 10 times going back and forth to slots o fun.

I thought I was the only one who actually walked over to sluts of fun, man I love that place. If you do go the Circus route, ask for a room towards the front. They have rooms WAY in the back.

If my drunken math serves me correctly a round for like 10 people was like 20 bucks.. and thats mixed drinks like Alabama Slammers, Jack and Cokes, and the like. Again this is drunken math so double is probably more accurate.

I have a bed open if you'd like, the guy I was going to room with bailed on me (no hard feelings if you come across this). I'd appreciate you splitting the cost for both nights though :)
