    ok..

so MANY of you that traded in a black badge for defcon 18 entry did not manage to pick them up from me on time. Good news, I am a nice guy and have them all. Contact me and if you have your 'token' we can work out arrangements.

I volunteer to help out next year. Seriously. You are always seeming overwhelmed. I would be happy to help. Perhaps that will allow for extended hours for turn in and recovery. Let me know.

A pre-paid envelope the badge is put in seems like a good idea too. I'd probably pay $5 in "insurance" up front, if I don't pick it up, just drop it in the mail. if it doesn't get back to me, it's my own fault.

The drawback is that TW would have a box of envelopes with people's names and address on them, but hey, he's trustworthy, right? :)

yup... I end up with badges every year. Most get mailed out to the owners after a few weeks. the rest, I bring back to defcon.

heh, you don't have a DC12 Black Badge that you've been holding on to for a long time, do you?

i still never learned what happened to mine. i'm forced to conclude that i used it at DC15 or DC16 but never reclaimed it.

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

heh, sadly, no. i was hoping that this may have been back in an era when we were using only email addresses.

either that, or i can submit to you a high-res scan i took of the badge when i was showing it to some other people. like an insurance expert examining an art piece, you could compare the scuffs and scratches to see what's what, hehe.
