    LayerOne 2011

    Thats right, LayerOne is coming back to rock your face. We took 2010 off, we're happy we did, but now its time to get back into the swing of things.

    Right now keep your calendar clear for the end of May 2011 and start pricing flights to Anaheim, CA.

    LayerOne is a great time! Sunny southern california, tons of great people to hang out with, nice small hotel, a block from Disneyland so you can show up a day early with the family. What I like best is that it's a smaller group, so you don't have the thousands of people who heard about the con on CNN and want to be a hacker showing up, you've just got the core group that actually knows stuff.

    Plus at the last one we tried to steal the catholic convention's holy water, and successfully stole their Sacricity sign (and put it on our bathroom door)! Good times.

        Never made it to an L1, but I'm told I must. I'll see if I can make 2011 my 1st.

                indeed... i will by flying in from overseas on the tail-end of like four cons in a row, just to be there. so, naturally, LayerOne is going to kick even more ass than before.
                "I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

                      Just letting everyone know that this week is the last week for pre-registration. Also, we picked up Toorcon and Dreamhost as sponsors for our Saturday night hospitality event!

                            My flight doesn't deposit me in L.A. until just after midnight, so i might miss out on the Friday night pre-party, or at least most of it. sad business, that... given that it was much fun at the Karaoke night last year.

                              I thought I would just let everyone know what a great event LayerOne 2011 was.

                              noid, M, Datagram and everyone else running and working at LayerOne thanks for making this weekend a blast. All your hard work was appreciated and made this a great event.
