  • Defcon or bust vehicle signage.

    Each year that my cohorts and I make our annual pilgrimage to Defcon we end up drawing a Defcon logo on something (often a recently used fast food restaurant bag) and point it towards other cars if the occupants look like they might be going to Defcon.

    It becomes a great adventure checking out every vehicle we encounter and it's a blast seeing the reactions we get after displaying the Defcon logo to people.

    We were thinking it would be great this year if we could get others that are driving to Defcon to put a Defcon logo in a specific spot on the vehicle so we can quickly Identify each other.

    I know its early to start this post, but I wanted to see if others had any thoughts or Ideas about something like this.

    All thoughts and ideas will be greatly apprechiated.

    Thanks

    Sounds like a vendor needs to make the smiley face bumper stickers.

      A vendor made sticker would be great, Another idea may be to create unique ones. With all the creative people that attend the con each year it might be cool if people made their own. It would be interesting if each vehicle had a unique name or number associated with the signage so people could post who they saw traveling and where.

      Either way I hope we can get other con goers to join in and "tag" their vehicles.

      Who knows maybe we can get people to label their bags so those traveling via plane can join in the search.

      {If any Defcon "officials" are reading this - is there any chance we can get an "official" Defcon graphic file to use as part of this activity - Thanks}

        Geocachers have invented such a trackable sticker, we would just need to make something like it for Defcon (but would likely want a separate tracking site).

        Forum goers could tape their avatar badges to their back windows, then talk about who saw who at the forum meet.

        Though I have to say, a simple Defcon smiley bumper sticker has a certain feel to it that I really like.

          If we used the plain smiley face we should at least place it inside a tire to signify were on the road to Defcon!

          (maybe white lettering on the tire could be an area code or some other identifying item)
