    Re: In-N-Out Con?

I think it would be awesome if there were some free-for-all carpool action. People with cars line up, people that want burgers line up, it's a match made in burger heaven.

'Burger Heaven', of course, referring to In-N-Out.
      It's not stupid, it's advanced.

Hey Astcell! Myself and a mate would really appreciate a lift there.
I will buy you all the burgers you can eat!

Have you decided when/where you're going to meetup, prior to departure?
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, And I looked and behold: a pale horse. And his name, that sat on him, was Death. And Hell followed with him.

I foresee a nightly human wave denial of service attack against In-N-Out during the con.

Oh and for those of you who have never been to In-N-Out and think we're crazy.

I don't think one can DOS an In-N-Out. All it does is get slightly more busy. (Incidentally, though, I don't think I've ever been to an open In-N-Out that wasn't busy, no matter the time of day)

I'm working on the details. I'm thinking ~4 or 5pm on Thursday. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. My idea is to have a time/place for people to meet up if they'd like to carpool/have a car available and also have a small map/directions listed for those who would just rather walk over.

I'm going to print up some 1/4 page flyers to hand out around the Rio wednesday evening/thursday.

I was thinking of doing a run of 100 pages which will leave me with 400 flyers. Do you think I should print up more?

Yeah, we'll probably DoS In-N-Out but from my experience that's par for the course and they're equipped to handle it. If I get a large response I'll probably do the courtesy of giving them a call beforehand to make sure they are ready for us.

I was originally going to just lurk the forums, but if there's anything that'll prompt me to reply, it's the promise of In n Out. I'm in.

                        Re: In-N-Out Con?

                        OK.

We'll be meeting at 5pm in the "Rotunda" area near Swag and Registration. I'll have a sign of some sort so we can gather... We will organize into groups in terms of ride share. If we don't have enough cars some may have to walk. I plan on leaving promptly at 5:15-ish so please try to be on time. In fact, show up early, 4:45, I will probably be there, and it would behoove those who are looking for a ride to show up early.

If you show up late to the meeting area and we're not there anymore, head over to the in-n-out! I'm sure we'll be there for a while. It's only ~15-20min walk so don't fret.

I'm currently away from my home computer so when I get back, I will post a map. I'll also most likely have some flyers I'll be handing out at the hotel on Wednesday. But for those who like to do their own recon, It's on Dean Martin Drive south of the hotel at the Intersection of Dean Martin and Tropicana Ave.

I walked about that distance yesterday. It's not so bad, though a bottle of water isn't a bad idea. Also, Top Gear Top Tip, don't wear brand new sandals.
