I asked everyone in the videos I took if they are ok with me filming them, I didn't seen any purple in the background but if you're in the background it is probably poor resolution. All videos are unlisted, so unless someone comes here they aren't going to find them. PM me if you have a problem with these videos.
Picts are also up, I edited out all purple I saw, and some other faces because they were head on or close enough that they might not want to be in the picture. If i missed some purple, PM me.
For the videos I was using my casio exilim, at 240fps the resolution is down to vga and doesnt have sound. 8 seconds of video = 1 second real time.

This was my first defcon 19 shoot and I had a lot of fun, even though it took 2 checked bags, $80 in shipping ammo, and 25min waiting for hotel security in the morning. I then rushed over and picked up my dueling tree and got back in time for the caravan. I expected more people would want to buy ammo but eh I guess they brought their own.
When I got there registration was a little chaotic but I was able to register, get my lane, and shirt in less than 10 minutes, so no complaints. But next year if there are more lanes and more people it might be nice to plan that a little better.
As others have brought up, 15 minutes or so between lane times would help to switch.
I'd like to see more time on the range, I spent most of the time just loading up mags, and when tear down happened the lane was fully out of commission (others went over the hill and shot a little more). Three lane times would help, but longer 2 range times would be fine with me too.
During the cease fires I did not have to go out into the range often, but I did need to load up mags (full auto makes you spend 95% of your time loading). I was able to ask a orange vest into me loading mags on a table without guns (and he stayed by to make sure others wouldn't yell at me), but sometimes others refused. It is hard to hold a box of ammo and load a mag while standing up. A second table in the back of the lane would be very helpful, but also hard to watch. Maybe a table with two counter tops?
There were a few times where some people thought the range was cold while others thought it was hot. The orange vests figured it out pretty quickly, but a siren or other audio device to clearly let everyone know when the range is cold could help.
I have to complement everyone especially the new shooters for not blasting my brand new dueling tree with a mosin steel core ammo or other high caliber rifle. I was only able to ask a few of the people in my lane to please not shoot it with rifles, yet there was no problem at the end of the day. I wouldn't be able to blame a new shooter much for aiming at the largest closest target that is directly in front of them, yet it would've really ruined my day.
Thanks for the great time, hopefully I'll have some suppressors and other toys next year.
