Plane tickets are only 360 bucks from travelocity.

$280 on Kayak if you take a redeye. Also look at other options like flying to a big airport then to a smaller one on another ticket. Going from LAX to Charlotte was more than going LAX to Atlanta and then a commuter to Charlotte. Do a little digging, it's fun and educational.
