From https://www.defcon.org:
"DEF CON 22 will be August 7-10, 2014 at the Rio Hotel and Casino!"
Since there has been an official announcement about DC22, I am rolling out the DC22 planning forum now.
This starts with:
Are you planning to bring back your contests, event or social gathering to DEF CON 22?
Please let me know here, so that when Pyr0 and his team roll out the DEF CON 22 Call for Contests/Events I can email responders here with a reminder about it, and a URL to what you will need to do for DEF CON 22.
NOTE: I am not a part of DEF CON contests and events... What I provide here is only a courtesy service to try help forward-thinking planners to get their info turned-in on time. A huge majority of forums here will be created based on the contests, events or social gatherings that have been approved and/or allocated resources. We do this to avoid "the two database problem" and have a single authoritative source for these contests and events -- specifically, Pyr0 and his team.
For DEF CON 21, this was done through : http://defcne.net/ BUT there is no guarantee this will be used again.
Please post you intentions here, so that when I know about it from Pyr0, I can nag you by email, and remind you to get your info turned in.
Like previous years, if we start rolling forums for contests/events out earlier than Pyr0's teams has services available, and approval-systems ready, we can make forums for *returning* contests, events or social gatherings and leave them up under condition that you will supply the information he and his team needs by the deadline. The forums do not dictate policies, or decide which contests/events/social gatherings are taking place... the forum will use the decisions of Pyr0 and his team to decide which forums to keep and which to drop.
Forums will follow the decisions of Pyr0 and his team on the existence of forums associated with contests. If you are unhappy with a forum being removed, please check to see if the present resource used by Pyr0 and his team (whatever it may be) shows your event as approved, and allocated resources before asking me why the forum is missing. If I have failed to add the forums, and your contest, event or social gathering is listed, PLEASE, PLEASE, do let me know, so I can synchronize the forums to match the latest information he has published.
Thanks!
So.... who is planning to bring what back?
