DefCon 11 dates

I hate to be a lamer, folks, but I've been sniffing around and haven't been able to find any specific dates for DC11, or a specific place in Vegas. I and a friend were hoping to make it to this one, maybe hopping on a caravan along the way. Could anyone be so kind as to indulge the moron with dates and places?

I just keep checking www.defcon.org. I check at least 12x a day so when it is announced I'll be there.

Well, it will probably be a while before anything official comes out, but the blackhat dates are known, so it's a good probability that DefCon will be Aug 1-3:

As for the place, all signs point back to the AP. I would be surprised if it was elsewhere.

I talked to the People at the front desk over at Alexis Park, when i was there for apachecon, and they told me that defcon had the dates of july 31 to aug 3 blocked for the con. So we went ahead and reserved our room, easy as that.

Yes, it is indeed August 1st through 3rd. If you possesed mad ninja skills you could have figured this out months ago by looking at the dates for BlackHat USA. Defcon always falls immediately after BlackHat.

As a side note:

As of this post Defcon is only 220.75434027778 days away or roughly 5289 hours, or 316800 minutes, or 19008000 seconds
This was done without taking Leap Seconds (http://www.npl.co.uk/time/leap_second.html) into account.

I am dreading vegas again... I only tolerate it because of defcon... taking 5 showers a day isn't on my top 10 things to do list... except at defcon ;)

Maybe try to wear a lighter then black shirt maybe a dark grey. Defcon is worth 5 showers a day, or maybe I will just jump in the pool a few times with some soap.
