Forgive me if I don't remember, but being out in the hot desert sun for 4 days with NO shade your brain tends to get a little over cooked. Frag rounds as far as I know of are legal to use in NV but I do know that things like tracers, insanitary, tannerite, and steel bullets are frowned upon because of the fire issues we have in NV. I'm not aware of any direct laws against those things but the police could give you a hard time.

So if your Frag rounds don't pose a fire issue, no one will have an issue of you using them. However you are shooting at PAPER targets and seems to me to be a waste of ammo I'm pretty sure cost more than Ball Ammo.

Well you know you can just WALK the course with your .22LR and shoot the course. In fact "Deviant" walked it with his 10/22. So no excuses!!! ;)

It's just something different that when you go to the range and shoot paper and go home. Yes you can actually RUN the course and try to hit the targets like they are real targets your trying to take down before they take you down. You don't have to run the course like it's some kind of Zombie Apocalypse training course. But it's set up in a way that you could do that if you wanted too.

Thanks but no thanks. In my 33+ years in the Army I have shot enough rounds while rappelling from helicopters, jumping through windows, driving dune buggies, and then doing it all again in the dark. I wanna sit on the front porch with a .22 on my lap and pick off squirrels. All you young'uns can have the physical activities from now on, you got the con. And if you're real nice, maybe I'll show you some shootin' secrets.

I'm planning on using my piston driven full auto AR15 again. If someone shows up with a long gun and no sling I have a rail attachment that just requires a flathead so they could use my sling.

I'll probably have a suppressed pistol too, depends on how heavy the case gets.

True they are different classes. But its unfare to run the course again since you will then know how the course is setup. At the start of the course you will not be able to see the course or where the targets are. You must run to each shooters box and find the targets. So if you run the course again you will already know where the targets are and can run the course faster. You will understand once you see it. I set the course more as a real life fire fight than what you see online for shooting courses.

I hope that doesnt turn you off and not run the course. Like i said before you can run the course as much as you want and ill score you but only the first one counts.

Oh. I thought since handguns and long guns were different classes that people could run the course for each class. I could see that multiple runs on the sniper shot could be unfair.

For long guns I am planning to bring my AR-15 in .223 for the contest. I assembled that AR-15 from individual parts in my Rio hotel room at Defcon 20, so it's a fitting gun for Hacker War Games. I hope to bring my Saiga sporter in 7.62x39mm, my Remington 700 in .308 Win, maybe a couple .22 LR rifles and a .17 HMR. My girlfriend will probably bring her pink AR-15 and her 12 gauge shotgun. I don't know if I can convince her to try the contest though.
Sounds cool. Well you only get 1 official run at the course with only one of your guns (no switching from hand gun to long gun during the course). But if there is time (no one waiting) your welcome to shoot the course with just about anything you want as many times as you want (No shot guns). The little bersa would be cool to see someone shoot the course with, but I do have to warn you that she will shoot farther than she would in a personal defense situation. So the short sight radius will make it harder to shoot some of the distances the targets will go out too. Last year there was one at the end that was 40 feet away. She is welcome to watch all she wants but I warn you she will most likely want to run the course if she does. It's a lot of fun, and I make it simple and easy yet still a challenge.

I really would like to see your RIA 1911 and compare it to my built RIA 1911

FYI: All targets except for the Sniper Target are all 8" round targets. So at 40 feet it's not a very big target to hit. Few actually where able to hit that 1 target. I have a Sig 238 (380ACP) and long distances are hard to hit with that. The Pink AR-15 would be the best for her. Plus I would love to get some pictures/videos of that!!!

I do have to say he knew his firearm pretty well and probably would have finish in the Top 5 if more used a long gun.

EVERYONE can run the course as many times as they want (as long as there is time too)!!! However.....your first run is the only one you will be scored on.

    Who's Bringing What?

Are you planning on bringing your gun or renting? Why not let everyone know what your brining. I would love to see more Long Guns this year. I'll be using my 1911 like I did last year (the same gun I'm renting out).
Working...
