We should start a new thread called "Stupidest Defcon Moments" and people could recount the stupid and potentially harmful things they have done while attending the con.

It seems that all of us have one of these stories...

My boy and I decided that it was a good idea to walk from the 4Queens back to the AP at 3AM. We finally caught a cab at the Stratosphere. <Insert frightening stories of bums, hookers and closed wedding chapels here>

Did I mention I was less than sober, and had my laptop in my backpack?

Or you could just social engineer your way into a shuttle that runs from the strip to the hotels. We did that with Amerisuites, just don't forget to tip the driver! ;)

BAWLS makes me feel like I've been chewed up and spit out the next day. Totally boned tired. Almost feels like I ran a marathon...

as i mentioned last year.. bring lots and lots of extra socks. that is the most important thing in my mind. changing my socks makes me feel fresh and clean, and can usually extend my time to next show (ttns) by about 10 seconds or so... lol

I used to rent cars and drive them to defcon, but after finding a parking (nearly impossbile) at the ap, I didn't want to lose it, so I didn't use it... I rarely leave the AP anyhow since DC is the only reason I am there. This year I am going to try flying in. that should be rather interesting on a few levels...

at dc at the ap i usually take 3-4 showers a day... the smoke and sweat just makes you all gritty and nappy real quick... or that could just be me. but for people who are used to being in 60 degree temperature vegas is going to hell and back during august.

    To Grifter,

Great review! Thanks for taking the time to post it. If I may be so bold, you and your wife are great looking kids!:D
