Yeah, the boot looked pretty disgusting after other ingredients which I can't remember were put in it after the pudding... thank god it didn't give off a bad smell at least.

Awesome con though! I can't wait til DCXI either.

I know, I wish it was next year so bad...maybe we can make a city like this, call it Defcon UsA, where we live like this until we die, or until we turn 30, whichever comes first....

I found a guy at the B&W Ball using my DefCon logo as a desktop picture. Gave me a warm feeling. And I was suprised to find some people that knew me as "The guy that takes pics of the Utah 2600 meetings."

Getting spanked by Vinnyl Vanna, unzipping her body suit with my teeth, and then fliming her topless wasn't bad either.

This was my first con and I must say that I can't wait until DCXI. Thanks for a great weekend, guys.

BAH ! So your the one who stole my boot !!!!!? Well I guess its all good because the folks I went with fealt so bad about loosing my boot they said I didnt have to pay them for the bus ticket, room or any of the cash they loaned me to get out there. All I had to pay for was the 75 bucks fer the badge. Still me and that boot had memories and next time Im booby trapping them when Im not wearing them.

I remember sitting at the defcon wardriving booth telling some kid for a sold 10 minutes "no" because he wanted to use my boot...
I blame you not. That stuff is nasty when it dries out. Gets all rubbery and sticky...you'd have to pressure wash your boot to ever make it wearable again.

I just wish I still had my boot that my roommates allowed to be stolen, *shrug*
Was it a rather large battered brown lace-up boot? If so, I..uh.....kinda filled it up with chocolate pudding and we lost it later on.....hee...

I have a feeling the defcon 0a scavenger hunt stuff I did is going to haunt me for the rest of my life, just wish I remembered more of it =D
Join the club, darlin'. *wince* I fear I may never recover from the aftereffects of those twenty packets of Sweet'n'Low. unfortunately for those of us who went for everything on the list, hackers have long memories.....

If you can remember Defcon, you weren't there.

Excellent write-up.. I think you have captured the feeling of DefCon better than anyone else in writing thus far.. much better than the media!
Perhaps it was just my perspective, or maybe just because this was only my second con, or maybe just because I had a good buzz going on most of the con… but it seems like DC X was more “laid back” and friendly this year. Less elitism for the most part, and much more like a group of folks willing to share, learn, and hang out. Everyone was great this year, and I hope next year’s will be even better! Hopefully, I won't sleep half a day of it away again like I did Sunday due to staying out all night and being hung over!
