  • Social Security numbers stolen from Military

    http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/biztech....ap/index.html

funny that the military finds WiFi inssecure...........seems they can't even control their wired networks. Also it seems odd that the Military doesn't physically defend its information when its outside their control.

Even funnier is that Tricare thinks a $100K reward will get them the return of their database. What were the guys in NYC selling identities for $6-$25 a pop?

        Good Luck!

Well for $1ooK I would return it. Of course I guess the government forgot the old command: copy *.* They will get it back, but who is to say it is not compromised? I suppose they can reissue the social security numbers, haha.

Heh, there's been a $27 million reward for UBL and you have to wonder how hard it is to find a six foot five inch tall Saudi trailing a kidney dialysis machine behind him?

$100K for the Tricare database, sure... no problem.

A hearty handshake, a pat on the back, and the chance to see one of their fellow conventioneer's girlfriend runing around Pool 3 naked as a jaybird? :)
