you can warwalk, warrun, warbus, warcab, wartaxi, warlimo, warhitch, warsuv, wardrive... you can even warrxseven... as long as you are mobile and on the ground you shouldn't have any issues...

would a warhovercraft of some build break contest rules? :)

actually... someone on a segway would be interesting, considering the time we spent in traffic last year.
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

Not sure, but it would surely break some Federal, State or City rules!

Living in Las Vegas, would that be considered unfair advantage. It's not like you would know if some one came into town to do advance recon anyway.

Does the aps have to be open public nodes, or can they be located by other methods.

Read the rules for some insight

The main rules site is currently down (until tomorrow whoo hoo) and the rules are being backed up on www.defcon.org

I am currently having issues getting to www.defcon.org as well (my DNS server sucks though so that could be the problem).

Anyway...here is a cache of the rules you can view until tomorrow:

                    http://216.239.37.100/search?q=cache...hl=en&ie=UTF-8
                    perl -e 'print pack(c5, (41*2), sqrt(7056), (unpack(c,H)-2), oct(115), 10)'
