Defcon 11 Forum Meetup Ideas...

This year (2003) we all need to print out our avatars like we did for DCX and wear them, and all meet again, we need a meeting place, nailed in stone...

Don't worry... as mfreeck pointed out, even our most distinguishing features become less distinguishing at Defcon.

I had never met octal before, and was able to pick her out of the crowd pretty easily. Now, if she had blue hair... totally different story. I think a few things need to be different about the forum meet this year. Astcell, however, blended in perfectly with all the other feds :)

) make the meetup a little more definate.. yes, pool 1 was set ahead of time.. but there is much space around pool 1 with a lot of people that weren't part of the meetup.

We did not have pool 1 to ourselves like we thought. And who knows what the police were doing at pool 2. I like the idea of a locations that is easy to find and not that crowded. As far as earlier, did everyone make it in the night before in order to gather at midnight?

for DCX this was impossible since a few forum members (myself included) came in with the Caravan and we started rolling in around 12am... This year I won't have a problem since I will be there tuesday, but the concern would be mostly those who are taking the dc11 caravan. Also the next day would be too busy, so it is best to have it in the early morning (12am-ish)where the most flux of people are there.

Last year, I missed the Forum meeting (travel). This year I would like to be there, but I am working right up till my plane leaves Friday at 6 am and arrives after 9am (if I am lucky enough to get on the flights I want). So if you have a Friday gathering or still continuing from Thursday night when I arrive, I will see you. If not someone have fun for me.

Actually, quite a few of us had met up Tues. nite, and had been hanging out since then. I slowly attracted other forum members between Tues. and Fri. nite, so by the time of the "official" forum meet, most of us that had planned to meet had met each other (although por c0nv3r9 met me at my worst....). I think we do sort of end up finding each other, whether we plan it or not...

Last year was not a year to meet people. I ended up taking a friend with me to Defcon 10. I didn't think anything about it cause I have been at Defcons before started at 6 and continued. But let’s just say it wasn’t fun. I should have known the second she got to hotel and refused to leave her room it was going to be interesting. But this year will be better. Hopefully I will get to meet everyone. Just let me know about Friday and I will be there. Hopefully later in day cause I really want to change out of work cloths before I meet up with anyone (note take cloths in backpack with laptop and change in Salt Lake).

I should be REALLY easy to find. I have my normal color hair, no tatoos or piercings, and my t-shirts cover my belly button.

Oh yea, that's another thing. I have facial hair with no food in it. I'm a one of a kind.

Yea, we can start a pool on when the forums will be hacked and what the pr0n image will be on the main page.
